Pachi Fever is a pachinko-inspired skill game: an aim-and-drop puzzler where every shot is a single, deliberate decision. You slide a launcher along the top rail to choose where to fire from, aim with a trajectory guide, then drop a ball into a field of about a hundred brass pins. The ball arcs down under gravity, scoring on every pin it clips. The pins aren't the real goal though: your real targets are eight tulip gates hidden in the field and lighting all eight wins the level and sets off the Ōatari jackpot finale.

What sets it apart from other peg-and-ball games is that nothing on the board is ever removed. Pins don't break or vanish when you hit them, instead the board changes state as you play: tulip gates bloom shut and stay lit, windmills start spinning, and a fever multiplier climbs from x1 toward x10 the more tulips you light. You can slide the launcher freely along the rail, as picking your firing position is half the puzzle and some gates only open up when a certain tulip has been lit. The trajectory guide runs the same physics simulation as the live ball, so the preview never lies: line up a bank shot and you can trust it.

The whole thing is dressed as a night-time Japanese festival, with a lacquer-red cabinet, brass pins, lantern glow, and a star-field dome overhead. Pin hits play koto and shamisen plucks that rise in pitch as a cascade builds, and the jackpot lands on a taiko-driven fanfare. The pace is calm and considered rather than twitchy, closer in feel to pinball or a round of mini-golf than to an action game. It suits anyone who enjoys watching a well-judged shot pay off, plus score-chasers who want to push the fever multiplier and time the Ōatari reel. The same build runs on Meta Quest in VR, in a desktop browser and on a phone.

How to play

VR & AR (WebXR)

Controller

  • Trigger - fire the ball.
  • Thumbstick (left/right) - slide the launcher along the rail.
  • Point - aim with the controller ray (smoothed so it isn't twitchy).
  • Grip - speed up the catch cart at the bottom (only while no ball is in flight).
  • B / Y button — pause.

Hand Tracking

  • Right Pinch - fire the ball.
  • Left Pinch - slide the launcher along the rail.
  • Point - aim with the controller ray.
  • Left Pinch with raised palm - pause.

Desktop

  • A / D or scroll wheel - slide the launcher.
  • Mouse - aim, the launcher points wherever your cursor is.
  • Left click - fire.
  • ← / → - nudge the aim angle for fine adjustments.
  • Right-click (hold) - speed up the catch cart, between shots.
  • Click the cabinet crown / esc - pause.

Mobile / touch

  • Drag the slide buttons - slide the launcher along the rail.
  • Drag anywhere else - aim.
  • Release - fire. Drag off the screen edge instead to cancel the shot.
  • Speed up button - speed up the catch cart, between shots.
  • Pause button - pause.

Tips & strategies

  • Aim is position plus angle: Launch strength is fixed, so a shot is defined entirely by where you put the launcher and which way it points. Use the trajectory guide, it traces the real path to the first bounce.
  • Move the launcher every shot and don't camp the center. The launcher slides the full width of the rail, and some tulip gates are far easier to reach from one side. Lighting a tulip from the far end of the rail also pays a Rail Shot bonus (+10,000).
  • Don't farm pins for points, light tulips first. A pin is worth only 10. Your score multiplier is tied to how many tulips you've lit, climbing from x1 to x10, so the same shot pays far more once the multiplier is higher. And if a ball is about to drain, steer it into the moving catch cart at the bottom for a FREE BALL, so a poor shot can refund itself.
  • Stall at seven of eight to cash in. At seven tulips lit you're sitting at the ×10 multiplier with one gate left to end the level. Spend a few shots there first: run long pin cascades for the chain bonus, grab the koban lucky coin (it moves each shot and pays 1,000 × your multiplier, up to 10,000) and bank style bonuses while everything is ten-times scored. When you finally light the eighth, time the Ōatari reel — it stops the instant the ball enters the jackpot gate, so a late drop can catch the 100,000. Light every pin at least once across the level and the reel locks at 100,000 for a Perfect.
